Okay, I don’t really eat my mineral makeup, but I do adore it! And minerals are so good for us, whether in our makeup, a supplement, or in our water. Below I showcase colorful mineral shades that look good enough to eat. Mineral makeup is less colorful than traditional makeup by nature, but I like pizazz- and a lot of color.
Mad Minerals
Big Apple * Plum Dream Blackberry Black Cherry
Chocolate Mint Chocolate Grape Wild Mango Creamy butter
I researched colorful mineral makeup and found two online stores that had a lot to offer. These are some of my favorite shades.
*Please look below for a color description
Big Apple- candy apple red. May be used as a blush for a tart, cheery snow white look on fair skin- use just a hint.
Plum Dream- Catches the light so beautifully, it really is a dream.
Blackberry- shimmery purple with mauve undertones
Black Cherry- Almost magenta. Beautiful for brown or green eyes.
Chocolate Mint- just like the name, this delectable shadow looks like a thin mint shake brushed above the lashline. A rich milk chocolate shade with flecks of mint green.
Chocolate Grape- Rich brown with so much purple your head will spin.semi-matte.
Wild Mango- Ripe shimmery mango/coral color, best used as a blush
Creamy butter- Luminescent yellow with opalescent qualities. Intensifies blue eyes. As smooth as fresh turned butter.
Lumiere
Creme Brulee Peaches & Cream Orange Glace
Cocoa Deep plum Raspberry Margarita
Creme Brulee: A fresh nude with a matte finish and silky feel
Peaches and Cream: A light matte peach, soft enough for a base
Orange glaze: an Orange Bronze, multi-dimensional color
Cocoa: Warm Chocolatey brown, slightly metallic look
Deep plum: strong berry shade
Raspberry Margarita: Vibrant fuchsia with light violet sheen. Although this color looks hardly wearable, after application its a real treat for green or blue eyes. The color looks much more vibrant here than it does on.
I do crave the taste of minerals in my water. Distilled water tastes good too, but it just isn’t the same without the mineral taste. And there you have it! Some of my fave mineral makeup shades.
