I’m sure we have all heard of the treadmill. The treadmill is the most basic piece of exercise equipment, as well as the most common.
The elliptical workout machine provides a way to exercise that is healthy for joints. In the past I have ran… actually running is my most favorite form of exercise. There is one problem with running-albeit a rather large problem. Running killed my knees. While running I felt intense knee pain throughout the day at random intervals. I have heard that some people aren’t made for running. Regardless, the elliptical is sounding like an excellent option for me- it provides simulated running in addition to bike rides, climbing the stairs, and rowing. The elliptical provides a total body workout while providing low impact exercise. This type of workout is ideal for those who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis.
Stairclimbers focus exercise on the lower body. This type of workout is ideal for those who want to tone the butt and thighs.
The exercise bike is popular evidently because it is available in many forms that are comfortable for various ages and body types. Cycling is very popular- I hear about it all the time. The exercise bike is essential in a serious fitness seeker, as it provides a great cardiovasular workout.
Strength training is usually done in a gym with a personal trainer. Strength training can be very dangerous but a personal trainer will help an individual to know their limits. Requirements for strength training would be various types of weights and possibly a weight bench, depending on how much weight you plan on lifting.
Well, now that my research is finished, I will definatley begin pricing ellipticals, which sound like an ideal workout machine for me.
