Did you know that fine hair breaks a lot easier than other types of hair? The reason is the shaft of fine hair is very small- fractions smaller and much weaker. Its very important for those of us with fine hair to have fine hair knowledge  so we can make the most of our hair!

Perms and highlights are often recommended to increase volume in fine hair. I am all about these methods- I think that highlights HIGHLY increase the thickness and beauty of my fine hair. However even I will admit to the fact that these methods increase risk for damage. The high possibility for breakage makes it seem impossible to fully increase the volume of fine hair!

Most gorgeous eyeliner for green eyes: ELF plum

January 27th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I have tried many colors of green and purple to bring out the green in my eyes. Clinique’s moss and grape did the trick, but not as well as I would have liked. I have used these two colors- grape and moss- for the past year. Although the colors enhanced the green in my eyes I still had to pay special attention to what I wore- the wrong color would throw the effect off altogether.

Pearls for a Penny (relatively speaking)

When you buy pearls from this organization proceeds are donated to the villages that made them. Why is this so cool? I have found a fantastic place to buy pearls. Not only does this great online store sell amazing pearl necklaces they also feature belts, bags, shoes, and more!

This necklace and bracelet are Mikimoto style. Mikimoto’s pearls are popular worldwide but originated in Japan.

Self-Tanner Review

January 26th, 2008 · No Comments

My favorite self-tanner is L’oreal’s Sublime Glow, their newest self-tanner lotion. The tanner goes on smooth but did not cause acne. It moisturized but did not make my skin greasy. And this tanner was affordable and smelled good!Every other self-tanner I’ve used has stunk to high heaven. Gross! They usually smell like chemicals. L’oreal’s smells like food! Like sugar sweet baked fruit bread.

Jimmy Choo’s Riki metallic suede tote

I have blogged before about how much I like the metallic bags of the season. They are so fun and fresh! Although the metallic look is probably not a look that I could place in my closet and call a classic, its surely a look to flirt with.

This Jimmy Choo bag intrigued me while  surfing on the web lately. Target is featuring several trendy metallic bags this season- there are plenty of affordable options as well
