Kate Spade phone case picks

October 1st, 2011 · No Comments

Kate Spade has done some wonderful things where phones are concerned. My fave & the phone case I use are this white with black polka dots and pink side. Another of my faves, I love the phone with green and blue-green with white. This is a very fun cell phone case. I used it first before switching to the ultra glam-girlie polka dotted case.

Kate Spade Sunglasses

I actually went through three pairs of shades this summer before I settled on a beautiful pair of Kate spade’s in turtoise shell. The frames are great, and the  eyeglasses give plenty of shade for my wearin’. I don’t know about you, but its worth it this season to get my eyes out of the sun just so I can keep my peepers pretty.

Summer Lacquer by Givenchy

I love this shade! It looks great with a tan, and I mean the real kind not the healthnut-bronzer using kind. The shade is probably too bright for my office, but I work in a fairly conservative job so I think the color would be perrrrfect at just about any other! Great laquer color for toes. Looks classy-chic.

Differences Between Traditional Cosmetics and Bare Essential Mineral Makeup

September 30th, 2011 · No Comments

Mineral makeup is the newest trend in the cosmetic market today. They are available in drug stores, department stores, and even online stores. But what is the difference between traditional makeup and bare essential mineral makeup.
Organic cosmetics contains similar structure as far as ingredients is concerned. Some of the most common ingredients are hydrated silica, micronized zinc oxide, iron oxide, silk mica, and micronized titanium oxide. Let us take a closer look at each of the ingredients.
Hydrated silica is used to soften mineral compounds for use on the skin. It is designed to bond the minerals together to make them less messy.
Micronized titanium dioxide is a basic ingredient that helps protects the skin from the rays of the sun. It is whitish in color and has a crystal texture. It works naturally to block the rays of the sun.
Micronized zinc oxide is combined with micronized titanium oxide in helping protect the skin from ultraviolet A and B. On the other hand, silk mica is also used in softening mineral compounds for use on the skin giving a smoother feel.
Iron oxide is commonly colored red, orange, and yellow. They are commonly mixed resulting to a flesh tone for mineral foundations. It may also contain vitamins and pigments that can neutralize skin tones and skin softeners.
Mineral makeup can also solve a wide variety of problems. If you are suffering from sensitive skin or prone to allergies, organic cosmetics has no irritating properties compared to perfumes or dyes. Talcum or baby powder is not used in manufacturing mineral makeup as it can make you prone to acne. Mineral makeup is completely hypoallergenic and contains no oils and does not clog your pores.
Mineral foundations provides a sheer impact on your coverage making your face appear flawless as well as the additional benefit of not feeling heavy. To create such effect, you need to apply the foundation using an organic cosmetic brush in a small circular motion.
With a damp sponge, the liquid foundation can be applied creating a different texture as well. Switching to mineral makeup can be your best choice. It can be purchased for a similar price as traditional cosmetics leaving your skin feeling better within a few days.
So for people who are conscious with looking beautiful, bare essential mineral makeup is the natural alternative to traditional makeup. Its numerous benefits is something you can always look forward to.

Buxom Insider Eyeliner

Those that have joined my collection include Pearl & Black Pearl. Not so smart was I in choosing; I should’ve sprung for chocolate citrine for my green eyes, would’ve gone a little further in terms of bringing out their best shade. Regardless, the pearl is a lovely light shade to brighten, and should be used with caution when seeking a tan complexion. Likewise, the Black Pearl is dark and should not be used by the fairest of fair maidens.
