Fashion craze, like any good game, begins with a storyline. Maria, a writer for a fashion magazine, gets a call from her Aunt Lynne who is going on a trip. Maria’s aunt asks Maria to run the fashion shop while the aunt is on vacation.
The game encourages you to place model customers by male customers to increase both characters’ happiness. When a model is placed next to another female customer both parties’ satisfaction quickly decreases. The game prompts that the women should not be placed next to the models. I laughed- so true to life! The best part is that as you drag a customer closer to another you see how they will interact- with captioned smiley faces or frowns.
The game applauds you when you have succeeded. The colors and music make the game upbeat and cheerful. Maria, the main character, owns a boutique shop. She chooses colors of fabric matched with the customers desires and chooses the right pattern so the seamstress can sew the clothing. The game is customer-service oriented- you will love this game if you love fashion and making people happy.
The game becomes fast-paced quickly. I was frustrated with the speed of the game. I found it difficult to keep up with each customer’s desires.
The characters are way cute. You can change Maria’s outfit before each level! You also get to choose the color of the store’s paint when you want a change.
Fashion craze does not allow you to make the wrong outfit or pick the wrong color of fabric. I liked this, especially because the game moved quickly for me. Maria’s shop was brightly colored. The customer’s faces were friendly and smiling, unless of course Maria left them waiting too long.
