No thank you inexpensive mineral makeup (from ELF cosmetics)

March 12th, 2008 · No Comments

I’ve been using ELF mineral makeup for a while now. I was so excited that their mineral makeup is only $5-$8 for a substantial amount. I loved the way it looked too. Unfortunately I have recently become very disappointed! You get what you pay for, and I didn’t pay much.

75% of women are allergic to bismuth oxychloride, an ingredient in many brands of mineral makeup that increases the beauty and luminosity of the effect.

"New" Mineral Makeup is a revival of ancient history

Mineral Makeup is all the rage. Don’t get me wrong, I use it too and love it. I think its ironic, though, how mineral makeup is marketed as a "new" product that is revolutionary as if no one has thought of it before.

I have been stressing lately about the quality of my skin. After looking at pictures of myself just five years ago, I have concluded that my skin seriously needs help. After extensive research I have found that mineral makeup is a great solution for all of my skin problems. Mineral makeup

Below I showcase colorful mineral shades that look good enough to eat. Mineral makeup is less colorful than traditional makeup by nature, but I like pizazz- and a lot of color.

Budget Mineral Makeup

Elf cosmetics offer mineral makeup starter kits for $20. Each kit comes with brushes and bag…although a kabuki brush is not included. The mineral makeup sold separately costs only $5, including foundation, concealor, and blush. Bronzer is $8 but is a much larger portion. I loved the elf mineral makeup. I have had trouble breaking out in the past. Elf’s mineral makeup eliminated my breakouts- I could wear foundation without getting acne! This is a first. However, I would not recommend Elf’s mineral makeup for those who like a lot of coverage. Elf’s mineral makeup gave my face that extra youthful glow with a hint a shimmer.
